Homeplace Setting Offers Natural Beauty

There’s not a day that passes in which a Homeplace resident won’t see people out and about, cars passing by, and the beauty of our natural setting.  Our senior citizen residents are still participating in life in all its many facets, and a big reason for that is our location. It’s another reason we have set ourselves apart from other assisted living communities.

We’re located on Green River Road next to a busy residential neighborhood, Frontier Village. During the day, families travel in and out of the neighborhood, going to and from, running errands, taking kids to practice, and grilling in their backyards.

Across the street from Homeplace, you will find beautiful, established homes. And beyond the backyards of those homes sits Audubon State Park, a wilderness and park setting with hundreds of acres. Deer, turkeys, foxes, as well as a plethora of bird species live within the park, and many can be seen on our nearby campus.

As you drive into our facility a black horse farm-style fence, that is found so often in Kentucky’s Bluegrass region, greets visitors. As you drive down our boulevard you will find landscaping filled with plants and trees that are not only beautiful, but native to our region.

On our campus, we’ve built a lake that is stocked with fish so that residents can not only enjoy the view, but enjoy fishing from it’s bank. And we’ll help them do it!

Adjacent to our campus is the The Bridges Golf Course of Henderson. Our residents can look out from our facility and watch people playing a round on the links. Or, if they are able, residents are encouraged to get out and play themselves.

Geographical location is another important aspect. We are on the north side of town, with easy access to Evansville and all that it offers, while being close to shopping, movies, and restaurants here in Henderson.

We feel that our campus offers a bit more than other assisted living facilities. When assisted living facilities began sprouting up twenty years ago, investors and owners didn’t look to build on a beautiful location so much as just get the facility built. And those facilities do a good job and are even nice on the inside, but we believe our facility offers wonderful amenities inside and out.

We did our homework when we chose this location. We knew it would offer so much for our residents. They see life happening around them, and allows our residents to feel included in everything going on. Simply put, it’s a place where people can be active, vital, and happy.
