Let’s Talk about Homeplace!

We’re scheduling one-on-one meetings

Every day we’re getting closer to opening. As we’re getting ready for this next big step, we have a feeling that there are many senior citizens contemplating their next big step. Or, if not the seniors themselves thinking about this subject, then it’s certainly his or her family. This decision is not something ever to take lightly, and every family or senior should do their due diligence before choices are made. That’s one reason why we’re going to begin holding monthly, 30-minute one-on-one Zoom conversations with prospective residents or family members.

Our first session will be Oct. 29. Those interested can schedule a half-hour block from 4 to 7 p.m. on that day. Contact information to schedule your conversation is provided at the end of this blog.

These sessions will be a chance for us to share specific details important to each individual and to elaborate on all our services. Here’s a general list of what we will cover:

  1. Brief overview of services
  2. Costs of apartments
  3. Costs of care
  4. Get to know one another to determine if Homeplace is a good fit

We feel this last piece of the agenda is the most important. We need to get to know residents and their families, and they need to get to know us, get a feel for us, and ultimately, trust us.

We have been holding virtual group informational meetings recently, but often those sessions don’t allow for a prospective resident or family member to ask the questions that are important to them. These one-on-one sessions will allow each person to have the individual attention, and even though we’re not going to meet in-person because of Covid-19, we still believe that being able to see each other and talk to each other face-to-face (though on a computer screen) will allow us to create a bond that you just can’t get in a phone call.

Obviously, holding Zoom conversations is not our preferred method to talk to you, but because we want everyone to remain safe and right now, it’s still appropriate to conduct virtual sessions. We can meet in the same room in the future, but for now we’re planning the next best thing.

If you’re interested, please send an email and set up your appointment.

Or you can go to our Facebook page where we’ve posted a link that you can use to register for the event.

If you’re not tech savvy, you can also dial into the session on your cell phone. We can offer help if needed.

We hope to see you Oct. 29. If you can’t meet with us then, please check back for next month’s time and date. And, in the new year, we hope that these meetings will occur more frequently. We hope to see you soon!
