Betsy Gibson

Betsy, Gibson

Memory Care Director

Hello, my name is Betsy Gibson. I moved from Michigan at the age of 10 to Henderson KY, and since then, my journey has been one of growth, learning, and resilience. I hold an Associate in Arts degree and am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Studies, always striving to expand my knowledge and skill set.

Through these experiences, I’ve been blessed with the gift of serving others, a calling that fills my heart with purpose. The trials and storms I once believed were sent to harm or punish me, I now recognize as answered prayers—each one crafted to help me grow in the very areas I’ve asked for strength and wisdom. Without the support of my family and the guidance of God, none of my accomplishments would be possible.

In this journey, I’ve been doubly blessed to have Greg by my side. A friend from my childhood, my best friend, and now my fiancé, he has sacrificed so much to be here with me. On days when I doubt myself and think I can’t go on, Greg is there, unwavering, reminding me that I can. His love and support are a constant reminder that I am never truly alone in the challenges I face.

I’m a proud mother of two wonderful children and a grandmother to nine beautiful grandchildren. Through it all, I’ve learned that my personal life experiences, along with my faith in God, are the foundation that allows me to serve others every day.

I’ve been with Homeplace of Henderson since they opened their doors, and it’s been an exciting and rewarding experience to be a part of this growth and success. I began my journey at Homeplace of Henderson as a part-time caregiver, where I quickly discovered a profound passion for supporting and enriching the lives of others.

With this experience I advanced to a lead caregiver position, where I took on greater responsibilities and further honed my skills in providing compassionate, high-quality care obtaining my current position as Director of Memory Care. It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I am proud of the growth I’ve experienced both professionally and personally.

I look forward to meeting you and your family and having the opportunity to support and care for them throughout this journey.
