Homeplace Participating in a State-Wide Culinary Competition!

When I first joined Homeplace, a key goal was to elevate the dining experience for both our residents and the wider community. We aimed to create a culinary experience centered around client choice, involving them in menu creation, meal preparation, recipe development, and even preparing those recipes for meals.

Last year, our Homeplace Culinary team had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities – Culinary Competition. It was a truly enjoyable experience for both our team and our residents. We developed recipes and dishes using a specific list of ingredients, and I was so impressed with every dish that I wanted to incorporate them into our regular menu, which we did. 

We were privileged to achieve a third place finish in the state, which was a remarkable accomplishment for the entire Homeplace team. We are looking forward to our participation in the 2025 Culinary Competition and we are hopeful to bring a first place finish while we learn and come up with new culinary dishes with our team. 

Homeplace of Henderson prides ourselves on home-made entrees, soups, desserts, and a fresh salad bar. We love providing wholesome meals everyday to our residents, families and friends!
