Celebrating National Assisted Living Week 2025: Ageless Adventures at Homeplace of Henderson

Last week, our community at Homeplace of Henderson came together to celebrate National Assisted Living Week 2025, and what an incredible week of joy, connection, and inspiration it was! With this year’s theme of “Ageless Adventures,” we embraced the opportunity to honor life’s greatest journeys while creating new memories together.
Honored Guests and Special Moments
We were privileged to welcome two of our state representatives, as well as a representative from the Kentucky Center for Assisted Living, who joined us in recognizing the importance of assisted living communities. To make the week even more special, our Mayor presented a proclamation, officially celebrating National Assisted Living Week right here in Henderson.
Adventures, Music, and Memories
Throughout the week, residents enjoyed a variety of activities that captured the spirit of adventure and community:
- Live Music: Talented local musicians filled our halls with music, bringing smiles and toe-tapping energy to all.
- Lunch Outings: Residents enjoyed delicious meals while exploring favorite local spots together.
- Pet Visits: Our furry friends reminded us of the simple joys and unconditional love that pets bring.
- Outdoor Gatherings: The beautiful September weather gave us plenty of chances to spend time in the sunshine.
- Storytelling: Residents shared their greatest adventures in life, from travels to treasured family memories, creating moments of laughter, reflection, and connection.
- What We Love Most: Each resident had the chance to share what makes Homeplace of Henderson so special to them, reminding us why this is more than a place to live—it’s truly a home.
A Setting of Inspiration
Our community was decorated in bright colors, balloons, and whimsical touches inspired by Disney’s “Up”—complete with hot air balloons to symbolize the adventures still ahead. The decorations set the perfect backdrop for celebrating our theme of Ageless Adventures, encouraging residents, families, and staff alike to dream big, live fully, and continue creating unforgettable memories.
Looking Back with Gratitude
National Assisted Living Week is always a highlight of the year, and 2025 was no exception. This celebration reminded us of the resilience, joy, and adventurous spirit that our residents embody each day. At Homeplace of Henderson, we believe that every day is an opportunity for adventure, laughter, and love.
We are so grateful to our residents, their families, our dedicated staff, and our honored guests for making this year’s Ageless Adventures celebration one to remember. Here’s to many more adventures ahead!
